The Foundation of Support
The Weekends I Missed — and the Support Behind Every Other One
There were a few weekends when I couldn’t make it to the farm. In October 2025, I had to travel to Germany for the ITSA event. And in February 2023 and again in February 2024, work took me to Goa for offsite meetings. Those weekends, I stayed away from the farm.
But what stays with me more than the weekends I missed are all the ones I didn’t. Because behind every one of those weekends was my family.
My wife quietly carried this journey with me. At a time when she was expecting our daughter, and later when she was caring for our children, she never held me back from going to the farm. Instead, she encouraged me to keep going, week after week.
And my kids, in their own way, grew up around this rhythm too—understanding that weekends often meant the farm. They shared that time with me, even when it meant less of the usual outings or plans.
We didn’t spend our weekends the usual way. No frequent gatherings, no parties, no spontaneous getaways. We chose something different—something that mattered deeply to me—and they chose to stand beside me in that choice.
"There’s a quiet strength in that kind of support."
The kind that doesn’t ask for attention, but makes everything else possible.
This journey may look like mine on the surface, but in truth, it has always been ours.
